Bia Goes to Europe + Why I Love Traveling

Once spring classes were out, I headed out to Canada and Europe for two weeks to visit my relatives. The overall experience was both refreshing and full of inspiring revelations.
Firstly, I’m realized how lucky I am to have a large family scattered around the world. Then I realized that distance should not keep family apart and that we should be doing the best we can to keep our roots grounded. It’s extremely important to know where you come from and understand your own background. I feel like a lot of people discard the idea that who you are extends past the life that immediately surrounds you. The things that happened before our first breath is part of our life.

Sometimes we think we understand life in other parts of the world solely by media. But we don’t actually understand. There is a difference when you see the world for yourself. Because through media, we see the world through someone else’s eyes instead of our own. For instance, my career path is driven toward helping others and making an impact on the world. And I always ask myself this, “How can I help the world if I haven’t experienced it?” This is why traveling is extremely important to my life. It’s more than sightseeing and vacation. If you allow it, the outward experience could morph into something inward and personal. While indulging yourself in a scene where life and culture are unfamiliar, you can learn a lot about yourself and how you find yourself in that spot. And sometimes, your experience depends on the context of your life in that moment.

In my case, I felt stuck in life before heading out to Europe. I felt creatively restricted and I was moody about unnecessary things. I felt like I was a cog in a machine just succumbing to the system. But when I really stepped out of that state of living, I found myself realizing that there is an endless amount of world out there to make me satisfied with my life. I felt daring and fearless as though my opportunities were endless. Which, when you really think about it, is true.

Adidas Giant Tent Sale! (ADIDAS HAUL)

I’M BACK and I’M BROKE.

I’ve been really feeling adidas lately. I’ve such a throwback brand for me and its making such a a strong comeback recently. Superstars were the first pair of adidas anyone in my family have owned, so it’s nice to have a fresh new pair of those same kicks for my 20.5 y/o feet.

If you guys haven’t heard about the Adidas Giant Tent sale, you need to google it ASAP and bless yourself with a location near you. The prices look a little like this: $5-$15 for accessories, $8 for tees, $12 for workout tops and shorts/pants, $20 for jackets, $25 for Stella Mccartney x Adidas and Jeremy Scott x Adidas, and $20-$35 for sneaks.

I was in the tent for HOURS because there were just so many boxes. Ugh it was so great… except for the fact that there weren’t any mirrors. I set my iPhone camera down and used it as a mirror. People looked at me like I was cray, but ya gotta know what those final sale items look like before you purchase! Lately, I’ve been feeling like I need to add some comfortable clothes to my wardrobe, so I bought a Stella McCartney jacket and Helsinki Crewneck. I saw some of the Rita Ora collections, which I wanted so badly but my wallet said noooooo. I was even stranded at the tent when I momentarily thought I lost my car keys. I swear if I were stuck there any longer, I would’ve bought more items.

Also, just recently I bought two pairs of Adidas superstars at the mall (watch the video to check them out! Honestly, I didn’t even want to buy anything. I went to the mall with my boyfriend so he can buy shoes, but he left with none and I left with two. I went into Shoe Palace looking for the standard black and white superstars. When I tried on the red I LITERALLY ALMOST CRIED BECAUSE THEY’RE SO COOOL. I sat there for a good 30 minutes deciding whether I want one or both. Then the worker told me they were exclusives in the store and that they’re the last pair, and then he further convinced me by giving me his 20% employee discount because I bought the display shoe! I’m still not over the deal I got on these sneaks.

As for the accompanying video, I filmed it on my iPhone 6s, so hopefully the quality is fine! I honestly felt really casual recording and it was just overall easier to talk to the camera this time around! My video is more like a follow-me-around or a day-in-the-life video of sorts. Hope ya likes it!

5 Everyday ColourPop Lipsticks + Highlighter

Hey guys! I’m back with something new! My package from ColourPop finally came in yesterday, and I thought it would be a good idea to share with you how it looks on my tan complexion. During the selection process, I was having a lot of trouble trying to figure out what shades would best suit my skin, but I didn’t find a lot of YouTubers or reviews with my skin tone.

I mainly dipped into more classic and neutral everyday lip colors like mauves, taupes and reds! Also, keep in mind that this was filmed in natural lighting and the video colors were true to how it appeared in real life! All of the colors had such long-lasting wear even after I ate SO MUCH FOOD at a university’s annual weekend festival. I put them to the test and they passed with flying matte colors! That’s how you know these matte liquid lipsticks are the ride or die homies. They stick to your lips like no other.

The “Wisp” highlighter was also sooo beautiful and perfect for tan complexions. I was iffy about getting the color Lunch Money (which is another really popular color) because it had a paler color to it. Tan skin and golden champagne just seem like the perfect pair.

This is my first beauty-related video and I hope to improve further with your feedback! Let me know if you guys enjoy content like this and I’ll keep at it!

Here are the products I mentioned in order of appearance:

– P R O D U C T S –

○ Frick N Frack (Ultra Satin Lip)
○ StingRaye (Ultra Matte Lip)
○ Beeper (Ultra Matte Lip)
○ Tulle (Ultra Matte Lip)
○ Avenue (Ultra Matte Lip)
○ Wisp (Super Shock Pearlized Highlighter)

Much Love,

Bia ♥

Hey you, it’s me.

First things first, I’m sooo happy you made it to my little corner of the internet. After a long hiatus, I relocated to this new blog of a home. For the longest time I’ve been trying to overcome the initial fright of reigniting my blogger presence, but I’ve finally found my way (and my courage) back to my source of sanity.

I have a crazy lot of ideas and thoughts that I’ve been wanting to share with the world. So, what better place to start than right here, right now. Only recently have I started to truly embrace what I understand to be my purpose in life: helping others. So, my goal for this blog is to really reach out and make a footprint in someone’s life.

Here, not only will I be sharing beauty, fashion, travel, and lifestyle content, but I’ll also be sharing with you all the stuff that happens behind the scenes. By that, I mean LIFE. By no means am I an expert at that, but trust that I’m an advocate of growing constantly as an individual. This is my step one, and I’d love if you came with me along this journey!

Don’t Judge Zone: If you’re wondering, my username CallofQT (call of cutie) is a play on the video game “Call of Duty.” I created in my younger days (circa 2007) thinking the name was clever, and it pretty much stuck to me until it became as valid as a form of identification as my driver’s license. But y’know. Gotta be loyal.
